Eureka!!
I think I may have made it work!
My logo that is.. It took me a long time, but I think its actually done! Phewf! :D
I dono why but it was the toughest thing for me to make that crown fit in with the M so that the letter shows more and the crown is secondary.
Any feedback is appreciated!
Thankies :]]

Posters
I picked the ones that show the artsy side of Denmark. I wanted to grab th attention of people who would enjoy Denmark's museums, ballets, and operas. I wanted to keep it very simple but I made it colorful so it catches attention. I'm still working on my logos. I need to change the font because theres no way I can make the M work.

poster series!
Its always a battle between me and my scanner! Today I won! :]]
Here are my sketches for the 3 series posters for the country branding.

In the first set, I wanted to use some famous landmarks and tourist areas. I'm not too fond of that idea for the poster set. Unless I incorporate some interesting artwork to it, which I havent tought of anything yet.
The 2nd set i favor more than the 1st. I wanted to use some quotes to show the past present and future of the country. I wasnt sure what exact images to use for them, but its pretty much going to be one simple image that represents each poster.
In the 3rd set, I wanted to show the artsy side of Denmark. They love all kinds of art in the culture. They enjoy it very much and think very highly of it! So I used a heart to show their love for it. also, it didnt scan, but the logo would be all the way in the bottom for all 3.
I'm kind of stuck between the last 2. Leaning more towards #3.. but we'll see where it goes digitally!
Any ideas?
Thanks!!! :]]

My new logos
Yeah, so I went in a complete different direction for my logos. I wanted to simplify it and still use the crown idea to show royalty.
So here it is, let me know what you think!

Sketches
Ya.. so the whole peace thing with technology... not working too well! But.. I used my digital camera to post up some work in progress! :D YAY for some technology? I guess? Sorry for the horrible quality on these.. ://
Anyway.. here you go. Theyre kind of scattered and since I just decided on the cities yesterday I didnt come up with great concepts. So anyway.. here they are.
The first ones I wanted to play with some of the things that each city is famous for kind of thing. So for Denmark I drew like a ship. Copenhagen, I put the little mermaid icon. For Aahrus, I wanted to use the sky scapes, and for Odense, I used the famous castle called Egsave.
For the 2nd set, I wnated to use royal icons, not too obvious, and needs lots more work.
My last idea was to make it more playful and fun, to use different colors, and I want to incorporate the 3 shapes, circle, square, and triangle, into the logos. Also I want them to look handwritten and a little bit of messy.
Also, I want to use the country's flower, daisy, and the flag somehow.
That's about it for now.. :]]

Gahh!
I cant seem to find peace with technology today. Apparently, a usb cord would have done the trick. but.. idk where it is.. but i've finally picked the 3 cities I would like to use, and did more research about the country I'm going to be branding. I'll scan the sketches tomorrow, somehow! lol
Soo.. I've piked the 3 largest cities in Denmark.
The largest one, Copenhagen, is the capital of the country. I chose this because it is a very popular touring area. They have gorgeous palaces and museums for visitors to enjoy.
The second largest city is called Aarhus, and it has many landmarks that represent the city. Tivoli is one of the most famous and popular amusement parks in Europe. Domkirke is the tallest cathedral in Denmark.
The 3rd largest city in Denmark is called Odense and it is the oldest city. It celebrated its 1000th anniversary in 1988. [wowa!] This city is known for its historical and cultural architectures.
If in my other blog entry it wasn't clear, my 3 words are, simple, proud, and nirvana. Now, I know nirvana isn't an adjective, but I think it does a great job "describing" the happiest country in the world! I can't wait to go visit Denmark and swim in their beaches and drink from the ice bars, go on the canal tours and take pictures of the castles and palaces, and go see all the museums and eat at the restaurants!!! How exciting. lol [ya.. i'm a total nerd sometimes!] :D YAY!

Where would YOU like to go?
What a hard question to answer! I am in love with traveling even though I haven't had the chance to do too much of it due to money and family issues. I would eventually want to visit all the countries in the world before I die or at least most of them. Maybe even live in a few for a couple of years or so? One of the many places Id like to visit is in Northern Europe. Its supposed to be the happiest place in the world. And no, its not Disneyland! It's around Germany, Sweden and Norway, all counties I would most definitely want to visit and spend a large amount of time in. This place is called Denmark! I want to go see what all the happiness is all about! Danes seem to be simple and proud individuals who possess nirvana! I think with all those things, it is possible to be the happiest country in the world! They get satisfaction in the smallest forms, they have low expectations, and when you have that.. you can never be disappointed!
