I was thinking of going 2 different directions with this project. One of them was to do the whole "going green feel." This is the first one I have presented. I think it will be a bit too simple, but I was thinking of adding monotone imagery to it as well. I believe we are just designing the front cover so when it is opened thats where the imagery will be. I wanted to use just one color for each program.
PS. The box itself is not going to have this "texture" i am just going to print on recycled paper bag to just get the color. Or should i have the texture?? This is a scanned piece of a wrinkled one just to show the color and feel.
My second one I was thinking of using was the painted one. Each program will have their shade of colors painted in stripes as well. I used blue paint and mixed them with white, black, a tad of yellow and red.

Nice to meet you.
i did not know you can read chinese. anyway, great concept for both. i was going to use paper bag for mine too. i agree, put some monotone graphics on it. mix it up with some nature stuff and i think you will have a really great direction for CS5. and going to helvetica is a nice choice. the second concept is also great.im not too sure about the blurred white bar, but the whole brush strokes of different blues is working. its keeping the CS4 color concept, but pushing it to a natural appearance. it would be cool if the boxes were metallic maybe? maybe just try having a strong horizontal brush stroke for the white bar.
I like #2 the best with the brush strokes, great design, was this a graphic that you feathered or did you create it yourself, cool design though. I really like it.
I like both of the ideas. #1 is cool way to go with the trend of society. I think you should print on a recycled paper or paper bag and some how include to the wrinkles...maybe digitally. Maybe your titles look more like the recycle logo to get your point/concept across better because at this point, There is no connection/relation to what the programs actually do.
I like number 2 as well however the white "blob" as my eyes see it, is actually hindering your design concept so I would work on solving that problem.
Good Job. Good Luck.

I love the going green idea. I really like the first one, I could see that looking really nice when completed. I don't think you NEED the actual texture for the box, but it would be a cool touch (pun!) to actually have a texture you can feel on the box.
I really dig the paper bag idea. It's unique and very interesting. I would take that off the shelf and check it out even if I wasn't buying any software. I would totally have that texture be the real texture of the box to add to its interestingness. If you think about it, CS5 is basically 80% recycled CS4 so it works on that level too! The other direction is cool too, but I like the paper bag better. Also, I agree with what that person said in Chinese!
LOL to your second comment... I was like, "Did I click the right button?"
Anyways, I like both of your ideas. But I really like the painted one. It would be nice if you could also feel the texture of the paint, but that'd be expensive and it might chip off when scratched.

I definitely like the organic feel of the first one. But I LOVE paint so I like the second one too... but I wouldn't blur the edges of the white it does make your eyes look at it a little funny.
I love the first one with the orgranic feel - what if you burnt the blue layer to make it look like it was plastered on there? The second one is good too, but I would not have that white bar and then blurred around the edges, I don't think that is necessary.
I like both I don't know which to choose!!! great ideas!!! the second one i thnk is too heavy on the white box maybe a little smaller maybe type is white and ou get rid of the white box...
On the top one maybe the blu has some sort of image or abstract photo like texture... I love the concepts!!!
wha.... i love the internet.
i do think simple texture may work, but it has to have some correlation to the program.
how does a paper bag represent photoshop? form follows function...
so #2 is the lesser of two evils - actually its interesting, but the type and vignette is not.
here is a chance to create something unique. vary size, color, placement etc. play! dont be shy!
I like the second one, at first I thought you just messed around with gradients instead of actually using paint, and I think it's a really cool idea. I'm not hating or anything, but I'm not sure exactly how "going green" works with Adobe?
