It feels like its been a lifetime since I've updated on this thing.
I have recently started blogging about knitting, traveling and food.
What else is new? Let's see.. I got married in April 2012! That's a big change that's happened since I graduated from CSUN in 2009. YAY!
Career-wise, unfortunately, I fell behind after the closing of the company I was working for in 2010. I got a job at the bank that I've come to hate. After working there for 2 years, I need to get back into design! Dah! Seriously! My husband made me realize one crucial fact, which is something I knew in the back of my head but had become comfortable in my current job. I paid to go to school for something that I LOVE and now I'm working somewhere that I HATE. Strong words, I know.. but how does that make sense? The obvious answer is that I have to make a change!
So, this will be my first blog about what's going on in my graphic design career. :]
This week, I've reached out to a few designers and people in the industry to look over my portfolio and resume. Everyone is very nice and helpful about it. But before I show them any of my work to anyone I have to make it look presentable. I'm changing my branding and style to bring out my personality and character. I will update it on here. Comments and input is appreciated!
I will also post some things about what I'm reading whether it's a book, another blog, or something random I have seen somewhere.
I cannot wait! :]

I can't even start to tell you how incredibly happy I am that you're getting back into Graphic Design. I know you'd been discouraged because of your last job and the company closing down and everything, but I've known that it was something you'd eventually return to. You're good at it, from the work I've seen in the past, and I know your heart's in it. I wish you nothing but luck and success. I know you'll be absolutely brilliant! If I can help in any way, even if it's just to give you my honest opinion (tho I've got no education or knowledge in Graphic Design), I'm here for you! <3
